Central Oregon Waterfalls
When I was a little girl we lived at Toketee Falls, Oregon while my biological dad worked on the new dam they were building. I didn't know much about the area until I got a computer and could do the research myself. When I saw a picture of Tokettee Falls I knew I had to go see the falls.
July 12, 2008 we got up early and drove to the falls stopping to see other falls on the way. It's a 4 hour trip to the Toketee Falls area. More hiking than I anticipated. We were pretty tired by the time we finally got on the freeway for home around 9:30 pm. I told Heather, "I don't think this is what they meant by day trip." But it was fun and we enjoyed every minute of it.
The next few pages of the waterfalls that we saw is only just a smidgen of falls in the area and in Oregon. There are over 100 waterfalls in Oregon. All just as beautiful and magnificent as the the ones on these pages.
As we were traveling down the road among lush green Pines and Hemlocks......
the first thing I saw was a covered bridge. I had gone past it since it wasn't on our schedule. But loving covered bridges as I do I turned around and went back. I'm so glad I did. Click on the Lowell Covered Bridge link to see the bridge and read the interesting facts.
